Turning Coca Into Coffee

Colombia’s best coffee country shares ground with coca country. Our whole business is an argument that the coffee should win.

Safer, lawful livelihoods

For farming families choosing beans over coca.

Resilient local economies

Specialty prices reward quality — and stay in the community.

A future built on quality

Not coercion. Every product page lists its origin, region and SCA score.

Cocaine For Coffee™

Cocaine For Coffee™ exists to support farmers who are transitioning away from coca cultivation and toward sustainable coffee production. Coffee offers something coca never could: legality, long-term stability, and pride in craftsmanship.

By encouraging and supporting this transition, we help create safer, lawful livelihoods for farming families, more resilient local economies, and a future built on quality rather than coercion.

This isn’t about erasing the past — it’s about rewriting what comes next.

What we give

Cocaine for Coffee is the giving programme of Cocaine Coffee.

Every month we set aside the greater of 1% of net profit or $100 — so we give even in the months we lose money. We’ve done it every month since October 2025, before we’d had a single profitable one.

Half is allocated to organisations supporting coffee-growing communities and farmers in Colombia. Half goes to addiction recovery work in Tampa, where we’re based.

Coffee took us to Colombia — to communities shaped by decades of the drug trade and armed conflict, places like Caicedo, the first municipality in the country to declare itself non-violent. Our name gets attention. This is what we do with it.

How your coffee makes an impact

Every bag of Cocaine Coffee™ fuels this mission. Your daily ritual becomes a vote for ethical sourcing, a contribution to agricultural transformation, and a tangible step toward real change.

Concretely: our Caicedo lot is bought through Aprokafe’s grower-run buying centre at 20% above the national reference price. Our Ebéjico community lot pays 13% above, and El Flaco Grande’s Yellow Honey lot 31% above. That premium is the whole argument — it is what makes coffee worth choosing.

More than a name

Cocaine Coffee™ doesn’t exist to glorify drugs or shock for attention. The name is a statement — a confrontation of a broken system, and a commitment to replacing it with something better.

Cocaine For Coffee™ flips the narrative:
Not addiction — intention.
Not exploitation — opportunity.
Not survival — progress.

Brew with purpose

When you brew Cocaine Coffee™, you’re not just drinking a bold cup — you’re supporting a movement that believes farmers deserve options, dignity, and a future worth investing in.

This is coffee with a cause. This is impact you can taste.

They Defended Their Coffee Without Weapons

The O.G. comes from the first officially non-violent municipality in Colombia — a title the town earned in 2002 defending a coffee harvest, unarmed, at the El Vaho bridge.
