The Coffee Cartel
For generations, farmers across Colombia have grown coffee in mountainous regions with rich soil, high elevation, steady rainfall, and ideal growing conditions. Over time, coffee became one of the country’s most important agricultural exports and one of its strongest global identities.
Premium Colombian coffee gives farmers access to legal markets, long-term crop value, and a product with global demand. When farmers can grow coffee profitably, they have a real reason to transition away from coca and invest in something more sustainable.
Both have roots in parts of Colombia. Both are grown by hardworking farmers in challenging rural regions. But what they represent economically, legally, and socially could not be more different.
$$ Proceeds from every bag sold are dedicated to both the Cocaine For Coffee™ Initiative and local Tampa FL drug-rehabilitation centers, helping support programs, partnerships, and efforts focused on transitioning coca farms into thriving coffee operations, and helping victims in the USA recover from addiction.
A thriving coffee farm creates more than beans. It creates work. It supports processing, transportation, roasting, export, and local business. It gives communities a product they can be proud of and a legal market they can grow with over time.
